About Scholarship Compass

Scholarship Compass is an independent directory of Australian university and government scholarships. We exist because finding scholarships in Australia is harder than it should be — every university publishes its own list, deadlines change without notice, and most aggregators are stale.

What we do

We collect publicly listed scholarships from Australian universities and government schemes, normalise the data into a comparable format, and rank them by a simple opportunity metric we call the Compass Score. The score considers award value, application deadline, and how broadly eligible the scholarship is.

Every scholarship listing on this site links back to the original university or government page. We never charge students, take application fees, or sell data. We don't apply for you, contact universities on your behalf, or offer placement services.

Where our data comes from

Scholarship data is scraped from the public scholarship directories of:

We are working to add the University of Sydney, University of Melbourne, Monash, UWA, Adelaide, and 20+ smaller institutions throughout 2026.

How accurate is this?

Data is refreshed weekly. We do our best to keep deadlines and eligibility current, but the official source is always the university's own page. Always verify on the provider's site before you apply. If you spot stale or incorrect information, tell us.

How we make money

Scholarship Compass runs Google AdSense advertising. We do not take affiliate commissions, kickbacks, or referral fees from any university, scholarship provider, or financial product. Our rankings (the Compass Score) are not influenced by advertising relationships.

Who builds this

Scholarship Compass is part of a small portfolio of Australian information sites — see the sister-site list in the footer. We're an independent two-person operation based in Australia. Suggestions, corrections, and partnership enquiries are welcome via the contact page.
