About this scholarship
Applications shall be called for with an annual closing date set by the Mathematical Sciences Institute, and advertised on the ANU scholarships website. A cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of how the applicant plans to use the award, three references and any other relevant supporting documentation should be forwarded by email to the Senior Administrative Officer (HDR and Education), Mathematical Sciences Institute, prior to the closing date. An instructor or supervisor, with the consent of the student, can forward application information on behalf of a student. Selection is made on the basis of academic merit. Other factors such as the reports of academic referees may also be taken into consideration. The award will be offered to a student by a selection committee chaired by the Director, Mathematical Sciences Institute (or nominee), which will also include the Director, Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics (or nominee), and at least one other faculty member whose research interests include at least one of the following fields: probability, statistical science or stochastic analysis.
