About this scholarship
The UNSW Scientia Scholarships Program is open to recent high school leavers commencing an undergraduate coursework degree in Term 1, 2027. The program recognises exceptional academic achievement and encourages students who have attained an ATAR of 99.95 (or equivalent) in an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate or equivalent qualification to undertake full-time undergraduate study at UNSW. The Jillian Segal Scientia Scholarship has been established in recognition of Jillian Segal AO's outstanding service to UNSW. It is one of the scholarships offered under the UNSW Scientia Scholarships Program. It recognises an outstanding Scientia Scholar who demonstrates academic excellence, leadership, and meaningful community engagement, and who aspires to make a positive contribution to the UNSW community.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria: Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident (including Humanitarian Visa Holders) or New Zealand Citizen Have applied for and be commencing full-time study in an eligible UNSW undergraduate degree program (including the Bachelor of Medicine/Doctor of Medicine) in Term 1, 2027, through UAC or another approved UNSW admissions scheme Must achieve an ATAR score of 99.95 in an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (or an equivalent assessable international senior secondary qualification)
