Infrabuild Steel and Infrabuild Wire are part of the GFG Alliance international group of business and are Australia's premier manufacturers of Steel and Wire in Australia and New Zealand. Successful scholars will be invited to either Infrabuild Steel's Newcastle Rod Mill or Infrabuild Wire's Newcastle Wire Mill. The number of scholarship places available for each of these in 2027 will be updated on this page once confirmed. The Rod Mill has the capacity to produce 860,000 tonnes of steel rod coils to feed the wire, reinforcing and spring steel markets. The Wire Mill has the capacity to produce 160,000 tonnes of wire coils, prefabricated fencing and barb wire rolls.
