Having attained formal qualifications at the Old Tighes Hill Campus, she had a long and distinguished teaching career in English History. She was a valued member of the English staff at the secondary schools of Scone, Taree and Whitebridge. Literature, Arts, Music and Politics all exerted major influences at various stages of her life.
