Since that time, via their book fair, the Friends have raised over $1,000,000 and contributed towards scholarships, artworks, music, rare books, infrastructure, and more. Vic Levi was a journalist for the Newcastle Sun for many years. He was a great supporter of the City of Newcastle, as well as the University of Newcastle.
