It reflects the University of Newcastle's ongoing commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander advancement and recognises the important role of Indigenous-led research in improving health equity. The scholarship is offered through the research team led by Professor Michelle Kennedy, Wiradjuri woman and nationally recognised leader in Aboriginal health research.
