About this scholarship
The University of Queensland (UQ) and Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) are awarding up to 13 research scholarships to fast track sport innovation in the lead up to 2032. Students from a broad range of disciplines are encouraged to apply. Current areas of QAS interest and current projects can be found below: Sports engineering, biomechanics, or high-performance training technology Athlete recruitment, pathway, coaching (Able and Para) and classification (Para) Data/Modelling/Video Learning approaches to injury prevention and management, performance enhancement and athlete outcomes Sport psychology and athlete wellbeing Please note that applications are also welcome for projects outside the current areas of interest or existing research projects. Confirmed UQ and QAS supervisors are to be nominated with the application. The UQ Central contact can assist with linking eligible applicants with the QAS for co-supervisors and project guidance.
Eligibility
You must be in receipt of or apply for and be awarded a living allowance scholarship of at least the Research Training Program rate to be eligible for this scholarship. You apply for this scholarship when you submit an application for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). You don't need to submit a separate scholarship application.
