About this scholarship
The Westpac Australia-Asia Fellowship is a new, world-class, immersive leadership experience open to high-potential undergraduate and postgraduate students who have already completed a learning abroad program in the Asia-Pacific. It represents a bold step towards shaping the next generation of leaders who will navigate the challenges of our region through cultural agility and connection beyond borders. Approximately 36 scholarships are available annually to undergraduate and postgraduate students from our 14 partner universities, building a network of Asia-capable leaders, which is so crucial for Australia's future prosperity and security.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must: Be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident; and Be studying full-time at one of our 14 participating Australian universities (undergraduate or postgraduate) during your fellowship year. Currently hold, or have graduated, with a minimum of a credit average. Have completed a learning abroad program in the Asia Pacific. Eligible experiences must: Have been undertaken in-person for a minimum of 1 semester (or 4 months) Be an approved program conducted through an Australian university Have commenced during or after Semester 1, 2023 Have been undertaken at one of the 38 eligible destinations Be able to attend: The Westpac Scholars Summit in Sydney: April 29 to 30, 2026 Leadership Development Residential 1: July 5 to 10, 2026 Leadership Development Residential 2: October 4 to 9, 2026
