About this scholarship

Paul Leslie Duncan bequeathed funds to The University of Western Australia ('the University') to establish a scholarship to encourage and assist students to undertake a Master of Teaching (Secondary) with a major in English, with a preference to support students from a regional and rural area. Paul attended UWA and received his Bachelor of Arts majoring History in 1964 and his Masters in Education in 1977. Paul was a High School English teacher and placed great value on all aspects of Education. He was particularly interested in rural and remote education, having taught at country schools including Esperance, Busselton, Bridgetown and visited at Forrest River Mission school in the Kimberley. Paul was a lifelong member of the Anglican church and published several histories of Anglican worship in Western Australia.
