About this scholarship
Originally established as the W.H. and H.W. Harris Scholarship in 1969 by a bequest of $6000 from Mrs Bessie Florence Harris in memory of her late husband William Henry Harris, a former Headmaster of the Manly and East Brisbane State Schools, who served in both World Wars, and their only child Hector William, who was lost on active service in 1947.
Eligibility
You're eligible to apply for the 2026 award if you: are a female student completed at least 14 units in 2026 and achieved the highest results in the year attended a Queensland high school in the year previous to the year of the scholarship (2025).
